One of the reasons I love homeschooling
Sep. 15th, 2011 10:20 amThis morning I gave Erika a math problem that involved figuring out possible combinations of things -- in this case, the six ways you can put three different colored horizontal stripes on a flag.
Anyway, after she did it, she wandered over to our wall map, which has flags printed below the map, and figured out which countries actually had the flags she'd colored in this assignment. I love that there was time to do this.

Then we discussed the location of ancient Sumer, since we were at the map anyway...

Date: 2011-09-27 03:19 am (UTC)Many different styles of cursive are taught here, and it's not taught at all in the local public schools, so I figured she might as well learn a form of cursive that would be useful in her Saturday school program. Her teacher this year is very impressed. :-)
